"The fruit of knowledge is humbleness and to be good to people."
This website is the product of my love of lists, a handy camera-phone, and above all the desire to bring ease, comfort and savings to fellow travelers struggling to settle down in a new and foreign place. The guide is by no means comprehensive, and is undoubtedly more biased to the perspective of being an American, graduate university student, and north Oxford resident.
I owe a special thank you to all of my guides - to my dear friend Sara Smith for being my first guide to Oxford, to Arzoo Ahmed for being my guide to the UK beyond Oxford, to Aunty&Uncle, Lauren Bean and Munirah Abdul Aziz for being as helpful and kind as guardian angels, to Professor Marc Ventresca for his incredible intellectual generosity, to my parents Ruby and Inam Rahman for their tireless support and guidance, and to the many friends and colleagues whom I apologize for not listing but without whom such a humbling and wonderful year at Oxford would simply not have been possible!
